Anyone that isn't trepidatious about playing something the size of the BMF shouldn't be there and this year that turned out to be truer than ever. The support bands were awesome !OK. Enough shit The opening band, "Victims", were absolutely fantastic. They have grown considerably in the last 2 years and are now as tight as a very tight thing. Their ACDC stuff is just fantastic. They are a "traditional" bikers band but really are one of the best around now. I hope they will take that as the complement it's meant to be. Great set. "Tilted Smile" - the most incredible 3 piece this writer has ever witnessed on stage. No I am deadly serious. They write their own material and won a competition to record in the USA. They have just got back and play covers sometimes to make some money on the side - at least that's how it appears. They play some awesome Hendrix and Cream but turn their hands to newer material to. The guitarist / singer is a looney who leaps around more than anyone I've ever seen up close and gets noises out of a Telecaster that I didn't know were possible. These boys are real pros and it shows - absolutely amazing - see this band - book this band - incredible. |
